Refund & Returns Policy

Effective Date: September 25, 2026

Data Monster, Inc. (β€œData Monster”), operating the CallCentersForHire.com marketplace (β€œMarketplace”), provides a platform that connects buyers with independent vendors, agencies, freelancers, service providers, and digital product sellers. This policy works together with our Terms & Conditions.

At a glance

  • Every transaction is escrow protected. Data Monster holds and protects the funds until the transaction is complete.
  • Refunds: when a transaction is refunded, the buyer receives 100% of the product or service price and the transaction fee.
  • 5% Assurance Fee: applies to purchases from outside (non-Data Monster) sellers and is non-refundable when a transaction is refunded.
  • Data Monster products and services: anything sold directly by Data Monster has no Assurance Fee and is refunded 100%.
  • Escrow Roll Over: if a seller does not perform, the buyer can move the remaining balance to a new qualified seller they select instead of taking a refund. No Assurance Fee is kept on a roll over.
  • Disputes: Data Monster acts as the arbitrator, and its decision on escrowed funds is final.

Our Role as a Marketplace

Data Monster provides the marketplace platform, payment processing, escrow protection on every transaction, protected communication between buyers and sellers, marketplace support, and arbitration of disputes over escrowed funds. Unless a listing expressly states otherwise, Data Monster is not the seller, supplier, manufacturer, or service provider of marketplace products and services. Individual sellers are responsible for fulfilling orders and delivering products or services as described in their listings.

Marketplace Product Categories

The Marketplace focuses on digital products and professional services, including website design and development, logo and graphic design, SEO and digital marketing, AI and automation services, call center and BPO services, lead generation and live transfer services, data services, software and SaaS, consulting, freelance services, and other digital products and business services. Data Monster does not currently offer physical products.

Escrow Protection

  1. When a buyer pays, the funds are held by Data Monster in escrow, not sent directly to the seller.
  2. The seller delivers according to the listing terms.
  3. The buyer reviews the delivery and confirms it was delivered as agreed.
  4. Once confirmed, the seller is paid within 24 business hours.

Buyers should inspect all products and services before confirming delivery. Once the buyer confirms delivery and the funds are released, the transaction is complete and is not eligible for refund unless fraud or applicable law requires otherwise. See How Escrow Protection Works.

Refunds and the Assurance Fee

When a refund is approved, the buyer receives 100% of the product or service price and the transaction fee, returned to the original payment method. The 5% Assurance Fee is non-refundable because it covers the protection of the funds while they were held in escrow. The Assurance Fee applies only to purchases from outside (non-Data Monster) sellers. Products and services sold directly by Data Monster have no Assurance Fee and are refunded 100%.

Digital products

Digital products (files, software access, downloads, online resources, digital assets, templates and other electronically delivered products) cannot be physically returned. A refund may be approved while funds are still in escrow if the wrong product or nothing was delivered, the product is materially different from the listing, the seller agrees to a refund, fraud or unauthorized payment is confirmed, or the law requires it.

Professional services

Professional services (website development, design, marketing, SEO, AI services, consulting, call center and BPO services, lead generation, live transfers and custom freelance work) use time and resources once started. A refund may be approved while funds are still in escrow if the work has not begun, the seller agrees, the dispute is decided in the buyer’s favor, or the law requires it. Completed or buyer-approved work and milestones are final.

Escrow Roll Over

If a seller does not perform, the buyer may choose Escrow Roll Over instead of a refund. Data Monster takes the remaining escrow balance and moves it to a new qualified seller selected by the buyer, so the order can still be fulfilled without paying again. The Assurance Fee does not apply to a roll over; it only applies to refunds. The rolled-over balance stays escrow protected under the same terms.

Buyer Responsibilities

Buyers are responsible for reviewing listings and seller terms before purchasing, asking questions when clarification is needed, reviewing deliveries before confirming them, and reporting issues promptly. Failure to report a concern before confirming delivery may limit refund and roll over eligibility.

Seller Responsibilities

Sellers agree to describe products and services accurately, deliver as described, communicate in good faith through the Marketplace, and cooperate during disputes. A seller may offer a more favorable refund policy in their listing; if so, that policy applies to the product or service price, while the Assurance Fee terms above still apply.

Physical Products (future category)

The Marketplace does not currently sell physical products. If physical products are introduced, and unless a seller offers better terms, eligible items may be returned within 14 calendar days of delivery if they are new, unused, in original packaging with all components, undamaged after delivery, and returned with proof of purchase. The buyer pays return shipping unless the wrong, defective or damaged product was shipped or the return is due to seller error. Approved refunds are generally processed within 10 business days after the item is received and inspected, following the refund and Assurance Fee terms above. Used, damaged, incomplete, personalized, final-sale and change-of-mind returns are not accepted unless the seller’s listing allows them.

Chargebacks

Please contact Data Monster before filing a chargeback with your payment provider. Because every transaction is escrow protected, most issues can be resolved through a refund or Escrow Roll Over. Fraudulent or abusive chargebacks may result in account restrictions or termination.

Disputes and Arbitration

Buyers and sellers agree that Data Monster acts as the arbitrator of disputes about Marketplace transactions. While a dispute is open, the funds stay protected in escrow. Data Monster reviews the evidence (marketplace messages, agreements, order details, screenshots, delivered files, proof of completion and delivery confirmations) and decides whether the escrowed funds are released to the seller, refunded to the buyer, or rolled over to a new seller. Data Monster’s decision on escrowed funds is final.
